In addition to photos of naked people, scientists plan to send an invitation to intelligent creatures in space in order to finally make contact. They think that this will not shock the members of other civilizations.

To look more attractive to space civilizations, men and women will wave, scientists who have unveiled the appearance of a man and woman who will be sent into space as part of the Space Lighthouse project.

As they specify, the photos will not be real, but drawings of a naked man and a naked woman, which show the structure of human DNA.

“The main goal of the project is to send a message to all civilizations that could exist in space to establish contact with them,” said the scientists. They remind that this is not a new idea and that half a century ago plates were sent into space with naked people with the spacecraft “Pioneer 10” and “Pioneer 11”, which still travel through the galaxy.

In the new project, scientists will try to show gravity and expect aliens to understand all binary messages because they believe binary representation is universal.

“Binary form is the simplest form of mathematics because it involves only two opposing states: zero and one, yes or no, black or white, mass or empty space,” NASA said.

The proposed message includes basic mathematical and physical concepts for establishing a universal mode of communication accompanied by information on the biochemical composition of life on Earth, the temporal position of the Solar System of the Milky Way in relation to known global parameters, such as the digitized representations of the surface of the Earth.

Correction: This article previously reported that NASA planned to launch pictures of naked humans into space. Though NASA scientists were involved in the study, the project is not backed by the space agency. The report suggests the concept of sending messages into space to reach extra terrestrials, though does not detail any plans by NASA to do so.
