An ancient Macedonian sculpture shows – a laptop!?:
An ancient Macedonian stone tablet made by an unknown artist and dating back to 100 BC has sparked debate among ancient technology theorists, time travel advocates and archaeologists.
An ancient Macedonian sculpture shows – a laptop!?
The stone tablet shows a large woman sitting on a chair, in front of her a smaller female figure or a girl holding an object that really looks to modern eyes like a laptop. According to the Getty Villa Museum in Malibu, where the panel is on display, the depiction depicts a woman touching the lid of a shallow chest.
But some wonder what the precise holes shown on the side of the object mean and what they are for. Why would a chest have such openings? Isn’t that reminiscent of a USB port or other ports that laptops have nowadays? Maybe even a woman touches the buttons at the top of the screen or presses the touch-screen?
Did the ancient Macedonians have access to modern technology? Is this evidence of time travel? Did aliens give them that technology?
But, of course, maybe the lady is simply looking at which jewelry to choose by looking into a shallow chest with a mirror… 🙂
